This extraordinary garden is a plant lover's paradise, featuring rare beauties and the clever use of the more commonplace. Unique topiary hedges, oversized wooden steps, platforms, and pergolas provide definition and inspiration. 

The historic homestead is nestled amongst the world famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc vineyards and is five minutes’ drive from central Blenheim. Acclaimed garden designer, Ross Palmer, has designed the garden to sympathetically complement the one hundred and twenty year old architecture and has interwoven mementos of the original bush into the naturalistic plantings.

Discover and learn from the inspiring and productive kitchen garden, orchard, and large scale composting operation. Kaitiakitanga; or protection and nurturing of our environment is at the core of our garden management.

Luxury vineyard accommodation in the beautifully styled guest cottage allows you free access to the Welton House Garden. Eliza’s Garden Cottage has two acres of its own charming garden. You can book through the website below.

Tour alone or guided and allow at least an hour. Large groups are easily accommodated and sumptuous catering from a private chef can be arranged whether it be morning teas, afternoon teas, lunches, picnics etc.
