Knockdolian

★★★★

Originally home to many Deans families, Knockdolian's history took a turn in 1993 when the property was purchased by the Bennetts. Mr. Les Bennett, a passionate rhododendron enthusiast, began planting the countless rhododendrons that now thrive in the garden. In 1999, Steve and Michelle Lassche acquired the property and continued to expand and shape the garden into its current form.

Knockdolian is now a beautifully established garden featuring distinct areas, including a rock garden, rose garden, vegetable garden, native garden, woodland garden, and several deep perennial borders. The layout exemplifies the saying, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” with each section contributing to the garden's unique charm.

The renovated home boasts a large sheltered deck, ideal for hosting groups of any size. It's the perfect venue for garden clubs and visitors, especially those looking to enjoy morning or afternoon tea in a peaceful garden setting.
